We are committed to factual accuracy in everything we publish:
- Every story is checked against credible, verifiable sources before publication.
- Where possible, we rely on primary sources — official statements, data, documents, and firsthand accounts.
- We attribute information clearly, so readers can assess the reliability of our sourcing.
- Claims of significant consequence (e.g., allegations, statistics, breaking developments) are cross-checked with at least one independent source where feasible.
- If we are uncertain about a fact, we say so, or we hold the story until it can be verified.
4. Fairness and Balance

EastAfricaFeed clearly distinguishes between:

- Opinion & Analysis — clearly labeled pieces that reflect the views of the individual author, not the official position of EastAfricaFeed
Opinion pieces are held to the same standard of factual accuracy as news reporting, even though they may argue a particular viewpoint.
6. Sourcing and Attribution
- We credit original reporting, data, and images to their rightful sources.
- We do not publish unverified rumors or unconfirmed claims as fact.
- Anonymous sources are used sparingly and only when the information is of significant public interest and cannot be obtained on the record. In such cases, our editors independently verify the credibility of the source before publication.
- Content sourced or adapted from wire services or third-party outlets is clearly attributed.
7. Corrections and Accountability
We are human, and mistakes can happen. When they do, we take responsibility:
- Factual errors are corrected as soon as they are identified and verified.
- Significant corrections are noted transparently at the bottom of the affected article, along with the date of correction.

Our writers and editors are expected to disclose any personal, financial, or professional interest that could reasonably be seen to influence their reporting. Where a conflict of interest exists, the relevant writer is recused from covering that topic.

- Avoids language that promotes discrimination, hatred, or violence against any group
